Someone mentioned Boston being stupid for trying to sign Vesey instead of defenders.

Why do those two things have to be mutually exclusive? If we replace Eriksson with Vesey, (potentially) that is a much cheaper option. With that extra money, there will be the ability to trade some futures and take on a larger contract ala Trouba, etc.

Then the following year when Marchand, pasta and Spooner need to be resigned, we see what we have in Vesey and Vatrano and make a call. At that point another 3 million comes off the books due to Chara's contract. (Which was signed before current CBA)

Haha, honestly everything to the west is a mystery to me. I live right next to the city (Somerville), and have basically been around it my whole life. The farthest I've lived from Boston was Billerica, which is about 25-30 minutes north of Boston. Girlfriend lives in Framingham and I've never heard of half the towns around her.
